The UAH History Department and the UAH Humanities Center announce a public lecture by Dr. Monique Laney on her book German Rocketeers in the Heart of Dixie: Making Sense of the Nazi Past during the Civil Rights Era (Yale University Press, 2015) on Tuesday 3 November at 7:30pm in Roberts Recital Hall at UAH. Dr. Laney tells stories of relationships of the German rocket engineers and their families with various races and ethnic groups in Huntsville and of how the groups remember the past.
